The Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation applauds the Administration’s appointment of Luis Ramirez to become the next General Manager of the MBTA. MTF has voiced previously its concern about the absence of permanent leadership in an organization that needs a boost in talent and morale. Eileen McAnneny, MTF’s President, stated “Mr. Ramirez’s appointment is a terrific step forward in transforming the MBTA into the high-quality, customer-centric public transportation system that its riders deserve.”
